Grain separator ISM-20

The ISM-20 grain separator is a versatile device designed for efficient operation both indoors and outdoors, in grain cleaning complexes and elevators. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, the ISM-20 can be integrated into an automated grain cleaning line, making it an excellent choice for medium-sized farms.
This reliable device combines precision, energy efficiency, and ease of use. The ISM-20's robust construction and versatility allow it to be used in a wide variety of conditions, adapting to the needs of modern farmers.
The ISM-20 is the ideal solution for those who need an efficient and professional tool for cleaning and sorting grain. The ISM-20 grain separator is designed for small and medium-sized grain operations on agricultural farms. The main difference from other machines of this type is the use of an impeller-based power unit.

The use of an impeller on this type of machine provides a number of advantages such as:

  • Minimize the loss of airflow power.
  • Reduce electrical consumption by a factor of three to four.
  • Expand the functionality of the separator.
  • Apply a frequency converter, which in turn simplifies regulation.
  • Increase the durability of the motor.

Advantages of the separator:

  • Produces separation of grain mixtures.
  • Frequency converter allows to work in different modes (smooth start and stop, easy adjustment of air flow power, protection against voltage instability, reverse mode for self-cleaning of the machine).
  • Quick changeover from crop to crop.
  • The absence of a vibrating chute eliminates traumatization of grain during operation.
  • Does not require complex maintenance.
  • Simple design and reliability of the machine as a whole.
  • No lubrication points or replaceable elements.

Operating principle:

The feed material (grain) is fed into the receiving hopper, where it is distributed under its own weight over its entire width and flows evenly into the separation chamber. Due to the powerful laminar air flow, heavy impurities and stones are first of all separated and fall out into the first fraction. The sown grain falls into the second and third troughs. The fourth and fifth troughs are used for marketable grain. Non-grain impurities, all damaged and sectioned grains are carried away by the air flow into the sixth and seventh troughs, and light impurities and dust together with the exhaust air are discharged through the separator air duct.
Calibration and preparation of the seed is carried out by dividing the crop by weight and sailing, which makes it possible to select the most complete grain (with a higher weight) and thus guarantees the presence of a healthy germ part in the grain. This ensures a high germination rate. It reduces the amount of planting material and increases yields.
Primary cleaning is designed to remove dust and partial removal of non-grain waste, which allows to quickly prepare the grain for temporary storage before further processing.
